Il a travaill\u00e9 comme post-doctorant dans le domaine du diagnostic (s\u00e9rologique et mol\u00e9culaire) \u00e0 la Free State University, en Afrique du Sud, puis au National Reference Center for Protozoan Diseases (NRCPD), \u00e0 l&rsquo;Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, au Japon, o\u00f9 il s&rsquo;est concentr\u00e9 sur le diagnostic des esp\u00e8ces de <i>Cryptosporidium<\/i> \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide de l&rsquo;amplification isotherme \u00e0 m\u00e9diation en boucle (LAMP). Il a rejoint le Centre de recherche Borstel, en Allemagne, et a particip\u00e9 au d\u00e9veloppement de diagnostics pour les maladies protozoaires transmises par les tiques \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide de la LAMP.
